Renold Chain Launch New Stainless Steel Lube-Free Chain
Renold Chain, based in Wynthenshawe, Manchester, is a leading supplier of industrial chains. Established in 1864 as The Chain Making Company James Slater, Renold today have a workforce of over 2000 people in more than 23 countries.
Renold's latest Syno PC chain is made from high grade stainless steel outer plates, with a special polymer inner link with pins that make it very tough. It is designed as a solution for applications where it is either undesirable or difficult to have lubricated chains. It is lube free and is able to operate even if completely submerged in water, due to the fact it has no metal bush or roller thus ensuring there is no metal on metal contact.
The benefits of the new Syno PC chain are mainly concerned with maintenance, as the polymer links make it easier to clean, quieter when in use, lighter and it creates less wear on sprockets. In industries such as food and drink and electronics, it is not always the best option to have an all metal chain, so the Syno PC chain will appeal in these situations. It is lightweight, versatile and corrosion resistant and, if required, attachments can be fitted to the outer plates.
The Syno PC Chain joins Renold's already extensive range of Syno chains, which include stainless steel, self lubricating, and lubrication free chains. Renold's aim is to provide a tailor made solution to any lubrication problem, with a unique solution for heavy duty applications.
