Viewguard works by using multi-level alarm thresholds that can identify an intrusion accurately. It only triggers the alarm when the detection signal is strong, which serves to reduce the false alarm rate. It also employs anti-masking technology; two active infrared circuits work in conjuction to detect the blocking of the sensor at close range and protecting the lens from any covering, spraying or taping. An alarm is activated if either of these are disrupted which will alert the security risk at the location of the sensor.
