The Safetrak electronic tagging system from Scafftag has been selected as a permanent feature on-site by infrastructure provider Morgan Est.

Safetrak was trialled on three sites to help meet health and safety requirements, and improve the inspection and decommissioning process for scaffolding, where there is potential for human error.

Safetrak consists of a number of components: Scafftag visual tagging systems including an automatic identification chip -Radio Frequency Identification (RFID); mobile computers; Safetrak core software and plug-in inspection software modules.

Builders attach a Scafftag visual tag to individual scaffolding structures where the electronic chip provides a unique reference number for that structure. The references are entered into the Safetrak system and a current status report is created. Inspection routes are then planned using the core Safetrak software.

The system provides more inspection time and less administration work, utilising time more efficiently.
