| £130m refurb to Edingburgh Waverley Railway Station |
Balfour Beatty, Carillion and Morgan Ashurst are all hoping to win a £130 million contract to carry out refurbishment works to Edingburgh Waverley railway station.
Works will include 17, 000 glass panel replacements in the stations renowned 34,000 m2 Victorian glazed roof.
The four-year project, which is still awaiting planning approval from the City Council, will also see the installation of an improved cleaning and maintenance system for the roof, as well as a system to capture rain water for use in a future 'grey water' recycling scheme.
