Highways Agency hands out £500m framework

The Highways Agency has shared its £500m pavement and concrete framework between 5 national suppliers.

Over the next 4 years Aggregates Industries, Hanson Contracting, Hanson Quarry Products, Lafarge Aggregates and Tarmac will all play their part in the programme.

Suppliers will be involved from the early stages of major projects, allowing them to collaborate with contractors on new build and maintenance projects.

Not only will the suppliers be involved in the design process of the pavement structures, but also support improvements in quality, price, buildability and sustainability.
