Bidders for Birmingham Airport Contract

This month four bidders are expected to submit tenders for the Birmingham Airport extension project.
The procurement process involves submitting three bids; a price to divert the A45 dual carriageway between Birmingham and Coventry, a price for the main runway extension and a combined project tender.
Each individual project has been estimated to cost £28-35m by the client’s advisers and around £25m in public cash has been earmarked for realigning the A45.
Birmingham International Airport is believed to have invited the main UK airport specialists to bid on the job.
