Vinci bags two waste recycling projects worth £330m

Vinci Environment UK has been awarded contracts to design and build two major waste treatment facilities in Hertfordshire and North Yorkshire.

The Hatfield facility will enable around 10 per cent of waste to be recycled and the rest will power the equivalent of 50,000 homes. Work on the project is set to start in late 2013, with the project scheduled for service in spring 2016.

Vinci will also work on an AmeyCespa multi-stream waste recovery park that will service North Yorkshire. This development is expected to help cut the amount of household waste going to landfill in the region by 90 per cent.
