The plans for the Don’s new stadium, which will be capable of holding about 21,000 fans, has already been approved by local councillors, and the club plans to sell its current home at Pittodrie for housing.

Construction work is expected to get underway early next year in the hope of the stadium being open for the 2013/14 season.
