Costain Group PLC has been awarded the £400m contract for the redevelopment of London Bridge Station by Network Rail.
Constain will cover both detailed design and delivery aspects of the project. Plans include increasing passenger capacity through the station as well as entrance and exit redevelopment to improve the ease of access to and from the station.
The project is a key part of the Thameslink programme which aims to significantly increase the total frequency of trains running through the station per hour.
The contract is a 5 year deal with work starting in 2013 and is scheduled for completion in 2018.
