Durkan starts work on £35m estate regeneration project  

 

Durkan has begun work on the first phase of the £35m major regeneration project on the Aylesbury Estate in south London.

 

The project will see 260 new homes on behalf of London & Quadrant Housing Association built. Land on the site has now been demolished, with preparations under way for the groundworks

The mixed tenure development will achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4.

Durkan will also construct a healthcare and community centre for the scheme.

 

The project is part of the wider £2.5bn Aylesbury Estate regeneration programme which will provide 4,200 homes, and take an estimated 20 years to complete.
