The first contracts for the Homes and Communities Agency’s (HCA) £11.5m low carbon infrastructure initiative have been announced this week.

The HCA will provide funding for schemes across the country to benefit from new and existing low carbon energy plants by creating the infrastructure needed to link them up.

HCA chief executive Sir Bob Kerslake commented: “These schemes use clean energy technologies that will be used innovatively to make a difference to people’s lives."
