| JCB and Camwatch offer Camwatch towers |
JCB and Camwatch have formed a joint venture, which sees the plant manufacturer's dealers offering Camwatch's security tower.
The 7m working height mobile CCTV tower uses heat and movement sensors to detect intruders and can send live high-quality video footage via 3G wireless network to Camwatch's control room. It runs on 110V power supply from mains electricity or on-site generators and covers a 100m radius during the day and up to 60m at night, without the need for additional illumination. Protecting a site with the JCB-badged towers could cost around half as much as using security guards.
Chris Wright, director of JCB Consumer Products, commented: "Traditional fixed CCTV technology is not effective at protecting areas where the footprint is constantly evolving, such as construction sites and quarries. The JCB Mobile CCTV Tower is perfect for these areas and is a highly effective and proven method of protecting sites and equipment."
