Enterprise has acquired the power cable specialist Bethell Group to target investment in the electricty network.

The £40m turnover firm installs underground power cables for the UK District Network Operators.The acquisition takes Enterprise's power division annual turnover to over £100m and will help them win bigger contracts.
 
Bethell Power Services specialises in underground cables, which Enterprise does not offer currently offer. The workforce is highly trained and experienced and will bring valuable additional skills to the core Enterprise power business.

Owen McLaughlin, chief executive of Enterprise, commented: "We welcome the 450 Bethell employees who will join Enterprise; they will provide further impetus to our rapid growth and increase the wide range of services and skills we provide to the utility sector in the UK."
