Morgan Sindall wins defence contracts worth £25m

Morgan Sindall has won a £25m contract to extend an RAF training centre at RAF Valley in Anglesey.

The group's construction business Morgan Ashurst has won a £20m project to build a 12,000m2 hangar and training suite where fast jet combat pilots will train.

Meanwhile Morgan Est will carry out groundworks, piling, drainage and infrastructure works worth £5m.

The project, for client VT Support Services, is being delivered under a 25-year, £635m private finance initiative to improve aviation training capability.

Work will start this month and is due for completion in spring 2010.
