A £1m dream home in Stockton-on-Tees has been demolished within a few days of its completion because it was unsafe.

The Metro reported that owners Mark and Karen Ball noticed cracks appearing in the walls of the three-storey mansion, just days after completion. Their six-bedroom home featured a gym, sauna and triple garage.

Demolition contractor Thompsons of Prudhoe, which knocked down the house, commented: "It is probably the newest building we've ever demolished."
