Southdale awarded £20m York housing contract

Southdale Group has been awarded a £20m contract to redevelop 196 homes for Tees Valley Housing Association cross various sites in York.

Southdale specialise in social housing, and this is their biggest contract to date. The work involves the of existing council-owned ‘prefab’ bungalows for elderly people, replacing them with 60 new bungalows, plus 41 two-bedroomed apartments, 56 mews houses, 39 apartments and a range of communal facilities.

Work on the first phase has already started, with and redevelopment underway.
