ISG has been awarded a £12m contract to design and build a new rotunda at the entrance to Croydon College's Fairfield campus.

Designed by Nightingale Associates, the six-storey concrete and steel frame rotunda will include a full height atrium and a double-height space below ground level to include drama studios and music practice rooms.

ISG will also strip out and refurbish two existing floors of teaching accommodation within the college, installing new M&E services and re-roofing part of the structure.

The project will be completed and ready to open by February 2011.
