BAM Construction has been named preferred bidder for a  £30m college deal in Liverpool.

The project features a new building to accommodate a sports hall and fitness rooms, as well as a state-of-the art learning resource centre at the Liverpool Community College's campus in Roscoe Street and work on site is expected to begin in July.

The building will also incorporate a nursery, cafe and meeting spaces.

The new structure, designed by local architect Ellis Williams, is in response to increasing enrolments at the college and students' needs for specialised learning.
